You finally have a name for it. Now you'd like to understand it.

The live event takes place on Monday, 6th July 2026.

Getting a diagnosis can feel like two things at once.

A relief — at last, a name for what's been happening.

And a door closing — as if your body now belongs to medicine, not to you.

Rheumatoid arthritis. Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Sjögren's syndrome. Systemic lupus erythematosus. Ulcerative colitis. Psoriatic arthropathy.

These names are precise. What they rarely come with is a map.

Why did this happen? What's actually going on in there? And — is there anything you can do?

Most people leave their diagnosis appointment with a prescription and not much else.

Simon Mills has spent nearly fifty years helping people find their way back to their own health in these situations.

This is a chance to sit with him for an hour and do exactly that.

What's covered in this session

  • How inflammatory and autoimmune conditions actually develop — the chain of events that leads to your diagnosis, not just the label itself
  • Where in that chain you can still make a real difference
  • What to eat — and why the answer is different for each person, rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol
  • Which herbs Simon uses in his clinical practice for these conditions, and why
  • Whether herbal and nutritional support can run safely alongside your current medication
  • How to begin building your own treatment plan, step by step

What makes this different

Most information about complex conditions falls into two camps.

Conventional medicine gives you a diagnosis and a prescription — thorough in its way, but often short on explanation.

And then there's the internet: conflicting advice, alarming forums, supplements marketed as cures.

This is neither.

Simon starts from the ground up. What's happening in the body, what set it off, where inflammation is being driven from, and where the levers still are.

He's not interested in replacing your doctor.

He's interested in helping you understand your own situation clearly enough to take an active part in it.

Nearly fifty years of clinical practice means Simon has sat with people carrying exactly these diagnoses, again and again.

What he shares here isn't theory. It's what he actually does.

Who this is for

This IS for you if:

  • You or someone close to you have a diagnosed inflammatory or autoimmune condition and still feel largely in the dark about it
  • You want to understand what's driving your symptoms, not just manage them
  • You're on medication and want to know whether additional support is safe and realistic
  • You're willing to look at food, herbs, and lifestyle as part of the picture
  • You want to feel less like a passenger in your own healthcare

This is NOT for you if:

  • You're looking for a quick fix or a single cure
  • You're not open to the idea that how you eat and live can influence a medical condition

What you'll get

  • A live one-hour Zoom session with Simon Mills
  • A chance to ask questions during the session
  • A recording to revisit afterwards, in your own time
  • Practical, plant-based suggestions you can begin to try at home

About Simon Mills

Simon Mills is a medical herbalist with nearly fifty years of clinical experience.

He trained at Cambridge and has spent his career working with people who have conditions that medicine finds difficult — chronic inflammation, autoimmunity, and the long consequences of a body under sustained stress.

He has written some of the defining textbooks in herbal medicine, lectured internationally, and spent years as a visiting fellow at Exeter University's medical school, working on the integration of natural approaches into mainstream healthcare.

He is not a fringe voice. He is someone who has done the work, for a very long time, with real patients.

He hosts the online Herb Hour sessions — where he takes a specific health topic and unpacks it practically and honestly. This session is one of those.
