30 days of 5-minute practices to rebuild your relationship with plants

You touch plants every day. You eat them. You walk past them.

But you have lost your connection to them.

Domei is a pathway back. You do not need to know what they are called.

What's covered in this course

  • Simple daily practices that take 5 minutes
  • How to build presence with the plants around you
  • Techniques from Western contemplative tradition
  • Ways to develop kinship with the plant world through attention
  • Practices you can do with any plant you encounter

What makes this different

Most plant education starts with identification. Names. Uses. Properties.

Domei starts with presence.

You learn to be with plants. To notice them. To develop relationship with them.

The practices work with any plant. The tree outside your window. The weeds in the pavement. The houseplant on your desk.

Robin Harford developed Domei after 20 years as an ethnobotanical researcher and forager, drawing on over 35 years of Western contemplative practice.

He noticed that people wanted to connect with plants but did not know how.

They had learned names or they had not. Either way, they rarely learned presence.

Domei addresses that gap.

What people say

"I just wanted to say that these daily emails are amazing. Actually, revolutionary, I would say, in terms of reconnecting to our wild selves. We humans have moved so far from our natural home and have lost so much along the way. Your emails are gentle yet powerful prods in the direction of rediscovering our place in nature. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom." – Hazel M.

"I wanted to let you know that I am deeply enjoying the Domei practices. I won't go into details, but my personal life has been immensely stressful for the last few years, to the point of suicidal thoughts. The peace and stillness of just the first couple of practices have felt like a clean breath in, a space where I could be me again. Thank you." – Kim Q

"I'm really enjoying these daily plant practices. They are helping me to slow down, and observe more subtly the external world and also my internal world." – Jenni T.

"I just have to say, I totally love all these postings! A constant source of inspiration as what we can do to improve each day. Thank you Robin." – Sandra W.

"I love your morning messages when I am sipping my coffee looking out into the fields and the trees. Thank you." – Alex

About Robin Harford

Robin Harford is an ethnobotanical and professional forager with over 20 years of field experience. He founded Eatweeds in 2008 and has taught thousands of people to forage and build relationships with plants.

He is the author of "Edible and Medicinal Wild Plants of Britain and Ireland" which has sold over 65,000 copies.

Robin developed Domei because he noticed something missing in plant education. People learned identification. They learned harvesting. But they rarely learned presence.

Domei addresses that gap.
